Boca's 42nd Holiday Street Parade on December 5

Time flies, December's a day away!

The City of Boca Raton will host its 42nd Annual Holiday Street Parade on December 5, Wednesday. The parade will start at 7:30 p.m. and will proceed north along Federal Highway from S.E. 8th Street to Mizner Park.

There will be colorful floats, bands, choirs, dancers, a 20-foot Sun-Sentinel delivery dog and more surprises! Boca's Holiday Street Parade is a popular event where families and neighbors have a great time and enjoy a general festive ambience. This year's theme is "Celebrating Community".

Prescription Take-Back on December 8 | Coral Springs FL

The Coral Springs Police Department will be collecting unused, unwanted or expired prescription medication on December 8, Saturday, 9-11 a.m. at City Hall in the Mall {inside Coral Square Mall at 9239 W. Atlantic Blvd.}. Residents are encouraged to drop off these items so they can be safely destroyed. For more details, please visit the City of Coral Springs website.

Boca's Holiday Lighting Extravaganza 2012

Everyone's invited to Boca Raton's Annual Holiday Lighting Extravaganza on November 23, Friday at Mizner Park Amphitheater in Downtown Boca at 590 Plaza Real.

This event is free and festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m., rain or shine.

There will be a snow village {with real snow}, ongoing entertainment, visit from Santa Claus, food and beverage vendors, fireworks, kiddie activities, a state-of-the-art lighting display and more!

At 7:30 p.m., Mayor Susan Whelchel will “flip the switch” and turn on an amazing display of fireworks and optical illusions. “This event has become a tradition in our community and it’s so much fun to have children and their extended families, many of whom are visiting for Thanksgiving, come together to enjoy the sights and sounds of the holidays.”
